It started with what seemed like a fantastic thought: a nighttime bicycle through the local maize field . Clearly, hindsight is funny perfect , because ending up utterly turned around in a immense field of crops at 3 AM was not a success . The complete experience was a comedy , punctuated by panicked spinning , the incessant rustling of the stalks , and a healthy dose of palpable fear. We absolutely needed to have stayed indoors .

It all began when we opted to explore a shortcut through what appeared like a quiet grain field. Before long, we were lost, surrounded by massive stalks and maize. The efforts to escape only made the circumstances. The group encountered more than a handful of challenges, including soggy sections and rather dense growth. Just stumbled across a resting animal. Faced a brief encounter with a very big owl. Wasted at least an time working to free a bike from thorny growth. In the end, we succeeded to get out, but not a several bruises and a mountain of fun! It's definitely a memory we will never live down!
